Step up to a larger bathroom, 4–6 m², and you’ll typically need 300–500 W per tube. Voltage comes down to what your site already has. Retrofits often run on 110V. New builds? 220–240V. Here’s the thing: higher voltage means lower current for the same wattage. That keeps wiring runs cleaner and helps you avoid voltage drop over longer distances. And tube length? That’s not just about looks. It shapes the radiant footprint. A 300 mm tube gives you a focused heat pattern. A 600 mm tube spreads the warmth wider, which can mean you need fewer units to get the job done.
Material & Design: Built for Wet-Room Duty
Inside, the halogen element runs hot—so we seal it in quartz, not glass. Quartz handles thermal shock the way glass simply can’t. We also coat the tube to tune the output. The coating shifts part of the spectrum toward a safer, more comfortable feel, while keeping that core infrared strength right where you want it. Then there’s the connector, which makes life easier on install day. We use R7s because it’s a standard, double-ended, straight-pin interface. It drops straight into common holders—no custom harness, no second-guessing. It clicks in fast, and it holds up to vibration and the regular cleaning that comes with wet rooms.

In the real world, you size the heater by matching tube wattage, length, and quantity to the room’s volume and ventilation. Go higher on wattage, and you concentrate heat where it matters most. Your towel dries faster, and the space warms up quickly. But there’s a trade-off with heat density: more power means higher surface temperatures, and more attention to local cooling and clearances.
