We focused on the dimensions and electrical tolerances that most of these machines share, meaning you can stop worrying about whether the part will actually fit when it arrives. Getting the heat right Here’s the thing: you need that intense, short-wave radiation to soften the preform fast, but you can’t accidentally melt the neck. It’s a delicate balance. We use high-purity quartz glass because it doesn’t crack when things heat up and cool down rapidly. We also tuned the wattage and voltage (usually between 230V and 400V) to hit those OEM specs. The result? Your ramp-up time stays the same. Your cycle times don’t budge. No fancy rewiring needed Nobody wants to spend their weekend fabricating custom brackets or messing with the wiring. That’s why we stick to R7s and SK15 connectors. You just pop them in. Inside, we use halogen gas to keep the tungsten filament from burning out too quickly. It keeps the light output steady for thousands of hours, so you aren’t swapping bulbs every other week. A quick tip on reflectors But wait—there’s a catch. You can put the most expensive, high-wattage tube in the world into your oven, but if your reflectors are pitted or oxidized, you’re wasting your money. The heat won’t hit the preform correctly, and you’ll end up with cold spots in your bottle walls. Do yourself a favor: clean your reflectors every time you swap a bulb.
