You get those annoying “pearls” or, worse, you actually burn the plastic. It’s a delicate balance. The heat has to be spot on. That’s why we build our Replacement lamps to mirror the original specs. We focus on the wattage and voltage balance so the heat profile stays consistent across the whole oven. Here is the thing: if you throw in a lamp with the wrong wattage, you’re asking for trouble. You’ll either end up with a cold preform base or a charred neck. Nobody wants to spend their afternoon recalibrating an entire heating zone just because a lamp didn’t fit the bill. Our lamps are designed to be a simple drop-in. Plug them in and get back to work. What’s under the hood? We use high-purity quartz glass. Why? Because these things go through a brutal cycle of heating and cooling, and cheap glass just cracks under that kind of thermal shock. We stick with R7s or Sk15 connectors because they actually lock into place and keep the electrical path clean. Plus, we often add special coatings to the quartz. This pushes the energy directly into the PET material instead of wasting it by heating up the machine frame. It’s just smarter. If you’re pushing these lamps to their absolute max wattage, keep an eye on your power supplies. Check your wiring and contactors for any pitting or heat stress before you swap in a new set.
